*QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT* – I’m hosting a free guided meditation every week live on Zoom. The live calls will be every Sunday at 7pm UK time (11am PST, 2pm EST). This is the best time I could find that works for me, and most time zones. Bring an open heart and a butt pillow! I hope to see you there 🙂
ALPHA AND OMEGA
February 2023 is simultaneously a beginning and an end. It’s an end in the sense that it’s the last month where Saturn is still strong. Saturn has had quite a run since 2019 when it entered its own sign of Capricorn. Then it met up with Pluto in November 2019 until November 2020. During that time, Pluto really brought out the extremes of Saturn on the world stage – suffering, isolation, loneliness, restriction, concealment, control, etc. The good news is, in the face of Saturn/Pluto slap in the collective face, many of us grew a lot, which is the evolutionary potential of Saturn, wisdom gained through hardship and hard work. Then, in January 2021, Pluto passed the baton off to Uranus, and Uranus and Saturn entangled in an almost 2 year long square battle until late 2022. Post the 2020 reality check, we careened into polarity boxing match between control vs. freedom, power vs. force, collectivism vs. individuality, centralization vs. decentralization (Saturn square Uranus). All the while since 2019, Saturn has been a dominant powerhouse because it was in both the signs it rules, Capricorn and Aquarius.
We can begin to bid farewell to a long 4 year stretch of Saturn reign, because in early March its finally leaving Aquarius into Pisces. In light of this forthcoming end, February is a good month to look back at not necessarily the suffering we’ve endured, but the growth and maturation that we’ve experienced. Although Saturn has the moniker “The Greater Malefic” for good reason, it’s important to keep our eye on the prize no matter what the energy represents and feels like. That prize is an unfurling of our inner Wizard, Gandalf the wise elder archetype that is within us all, and we are invited to develop and extend in our lifetimes. As we enter into this grand new beginning next month, we can use that hard fought, hard won Elderhood to pivot into a more evolved timeline.
Although the true awakening of a new world doesn’t begin to sprout until March, February is the true beginning of 2023 because now all the planets are moving direct. With no retrograde planets until early May, we are in warp 9, moving quickly into this new paradigm shift. In March, Saturn leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces, signaling the end of Saturn’s heavy handedness, and also, and even more significantly, Pluto finally dips its toes in Aquarius. Pluto hasn’t entered a new sign since 2008 when it entered Capricorn. For these two reasons, March 2023 and beyond look very different for humanity. Over the coming years, many other major shifts occur, and by 2026, we are fully into this new reality – but it begins March 2023!
In light of that, the question is, how do we work with the energies of February to get a head start for what’s to come? Well, with Saturn moving through the final degrees of Aquarius, and meeting up with the Sun mid-Feburary, it’s useful to take stock of the wisdom you’ve gained (Saturn), and how that’s fed into your own inner genius (Aquarius). Then, logically and practically create an action plan (Saturn), for how you will manifest your uniqueness in the world in a more tangible way. It’s not necessary to spring this plan into action yet, March/April is better for that. In what way can my personal gifts and intelligence create a positive influence in the world? Strategize, formulate ideas, and imbue your gifts with the wisdom you’ve fought for through these Saturn years.
Aquarius is a very humanitarian sign, seeking human rights with an egalitarian view. Aquarian people typically think power should be shared among many, rather than gripped in the hands of a few, privileged individuals. Part of this new world will be many freedom seekers coming together to experience freedom together (high end Aquarius), and resisting the clutches of those who seek further centralization of power through technology (dark side Pluto in Aquarius). Another great evolutionary strategy for this transition is: “What does freedom mean to me, and what do I need to do to prepare for more of it?”. You might need to fight for it, hard.
Saturn in Aquarius conjunct the Sun is very heady and scientific energy, thinking deeply about what these energies mean for you and the world. There’s another big event of February, and that’s Venus and Neptune holding hands in Pisces, also in the middle of the month. Then on the 18th, the Sun enters Pisces. The sign of the two fish is a watery and reflective energy. This is why I said it’s not really time to take action on these ideas yet, but rather, go within, yes think deeply, but also commune with your angels, so to speak. Pisces is a dreamy energy, and really the best way to work with it is to meditate in whatever way you like. Pisces the Dreamer, Saturn in Aquarius the Scientist, trying to integrate – it’s time for some Dream Engineering.
What does my life look like in this upcoming new world, and how does my inner genius play a role?
What will I do to create a more positive timeline instead of being complicit in a less evolved one?
Dream, and dream big. Also, allow the insights to flow into you as you let the mind flow in a more quiet, trance like state, and then apply those downloads to your strategy. This is a positive integration of two very different energies.
There are ways to get it wrong of course. I could for example, instead just get lost in my devices during this time, which would eliminate the potential for the seeds of the dream to germinate in my consciousness.
When Saturn is in the mix, there’s always a sense of work, but if we are willing to put in the effort, Saturn will reward us in kind, because he’s the Lord of Karma after all. Happy dreaming 🙂
These are the core evolutionary intentions, with the goal always – to expand our consciousness.

Any chance your meditations will be recorded? I work evenings on weekends, so can’t make it for these meditations, but would love to be able to do them the next morning!
